Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Through the sterling efforts of our school community we have raised a tremendous total of £1278.28 for Trócaire in respect of our Lenten fundraising campaign. This was done via the Silver Coin Challenge, Bake Sale, Purple Day and collection via the Trócaire boxes.
Thank you to our Religion subject lead Miss Mack for her co-ordination of all the initiatives and to everyone who put their shoulder to the wheel to ensure that our charitable fundraising drive was a success.

Niamh P3 and Sean P6 were the lucky winners of our Easter Bunny Competition this morning. Niamh (number 30) and Sean (number 110) were drawn out using a random number generator.
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Martina McCormick, a grandparent in the school, for crafting and donating the two prizes. We are always grateful for your contributions.
Our fundraising bake sale for Trócaire takes place tomorrow (Tuesday). The school hall will be open to purchase goods after Mass (10am to 10:30am) and at the 2pm and 3pm pick up times.
Buns, baked items etc can be left into school anytime throughout today (Monday) and tomorrow morning.
Thank you as ever for your support.

P7’s Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP) journey came to its culmination as they hosted their Showcase Day. Sacred Heart Scents were busy selling their amazing product and after a frantic day of sales they sold all of their stock. A great team effort by everyone involved. Thanks to the customers who purchased the bespoke candles (lime and basil/fresh linen) and a big well done to the P7’s for their innovation and industry!
Competitiveness levels were high this past week as all the classes in school competed in the Silver Coin Challenge. At the final weigh in today it was Mr Doyle’s P4/P5 class who emerged victorious, just narrowly pipping Miss Mack’s P5/P6 class. The winners will get to enjoy a well deserved reward on Tuesday for their efforts.
The funds raised from this initiative will all go towards our final total for Trócaire that will be announced on Wednesday as we break for the Easter holidays.

As part of their 'Prehistoric World' WAU topic, P4/P5 had an incredible visit to the Down County Museum. The children were thrilled to explore fascinating artefacts from the Stone Age, Iron Age and Bronze Age, gaining a hands-on understanding of these ancient periods.
In addition to their prehistoric discoveries, they delved into the rich local history of the museum itself, which was once a gaol. The children learned about the harsh conditions prisoners faced and how they were treated back then.
It was a day full of learning and curiosity, bringing history to life in the most engaging way!
