This week, we have been exploring the importance of bees in our environment. As part of our learning, we created bee cups to help bees stay hydrated while they are collecting pollen. First, we went on a walk along the lane to collect our sticks. We then shaped clay into small cups and carefully placed them onto the sticks. After this, we added PVA glue and painted them in bright colours to resemble flowers, helping to attract bees. Our bee cups are now ready to be placed in the garden.

We enjoyed a carousel of bird activities, children built bird nests, made bird watching binoculars, played bird bingo and matched the prey to the predator.

We created our own forest ecosystems using the Just2Easy ICT program and wrote sentences to go with them.

We learned all about the life cycle of apples and where they come from! We enjoyed some tasty apples from Miss Byrne's apple trees, and we planted our own apple seeds to take home with us.

    Some recent Play Based Learning!
