A very warm welcome to Sacred Heart P.S. Dundrum. We hope that you enjoy perusing our website which gives a great insight to the wonderful goings on in our school. It is an invaluable asset to our pupils, parents, staff, visitors and wider school community, helping keep everyone informed of life in Sacred Heart P.S.
The school has a long history of serving the parish and community of Dundrum. The present school building was opened in 1973. We are a small, family primary school that cares deeply about the well being and education of each and every child within our care. Sacred Heart is proud to be a Catholic Primary School that benefits from a highly effective partnership with the Church of Sacred Heart. We are a very inclusive school and welcome children from all, or no faith backgrounds.
Sacred Heart received a very positive inspection report in May 2017 which is a source of pride to the whole school community. We continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of school performance in order to make improvements to the high quality education we provide.
Sacred Heart is a forward thinking school that constantly seeks opportunities to improve pupils' learning experiences and to embrace new classroom technology. Our smaller class sizes allow us to provide a fully personalised education for all our pupils in a safe and healthy environment. We aim to ensure our children develop into happy, well rounded and confident individuals through modelling and teaching Christian values.
We always have the very highest expectations of our children for behaviour, attitudes to learning and attendance; and we also maintain an excellent partnership with our parents. Our staff are extremely child centred and always willing to listen.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and find it very informative. It is updated regularly with news, events and all the latest school activities. If you have any additional queries please feel free to contact the school office and arrange an appointment with a member of our dedicated team and see Sacred Heart in action!
Best wishes,
Mr M Fitzsimons
