It was full steam ahead this week in Sacred Heart P.S. as the hustle and bustle of school life strived firmly into gear.
It was a pleasure for all the teaching staff to announce their class winners at assembly this morning: Theo (P1), Sarah (P2), Korey (P3), Caragh (P4), Hannah (P5), Isla (P6) and Lorcan (P7).
Well done everyone!
From this coming Monday (week beginning 25th September), P1 will integrate into a full school day, 9am to 2pm. They will now also be able to access our After School Club programme (2pm to 4:45pm from Monday to Thursday and 2pm to 3pm on Friday). Similarly, Breakfast Club is available from 8am to 8:45am each morning.
What a great start they have all made to school life in Sacred Heart P.S!
We are just over a month away from our ‘Trip Down Memory Lane’ event in school. Thank you to everyone so far who has sent in archive photos and footage related to Sacred Heart P.S.
It would be great if we could get more photos etc submitted. This can be done by messaging our Facebook page, emailing them to mfitzsimons956@c2kni.net, sending a WhatsApp to 07523228422 or leaving them into the school.
Get digging for those archives!
Thank you.
Well done to the Dundrum U-15 team who won the Down Plate today against Carryduff in Darragh Cross, winning 2-08 to 3-04.
Congratulations to the management team of Jonathan McMullan and Declan Roche who are both parents in the school.
We also recognise the brilliant efforts of our past pupils namely Connor, Martin, Dan, Christopher, Jack and Nathan.
Hugh is an extremely kind and well-mannered student who loves school life and enjoys learning. He is a hard worker who has a keen eye for learning new facts and telling them to the class. Hugh always comes into school with a smile on his face and is full of enthusiasm to learn something new each day.
He has a great personality and shows a caring nature to help others when they need it whether that is outside in the playground or in the classroom.
Hugh retains information excellently and Mr McCartan is really impressed with how he has been staying concentrated and focused on tasks.
Hugh is a very deserving winner of this award as he continues each day to be a great role model for Sacred Heart P.S.
Well done!
We are well and truly getting settled into school life here again in Sacred Heart P.S. Therefore, it was fantastic to recognise our Pupil of the Week winners this afternoon at assembly namely Logan (P2), Niamh (P3), Annie (P4), Darlene (P5), Méabh (P6) and Lorcan (P7).
Well done!
Guitar lessons with Mrs Mona Owens restarted again today and we are delighted once again to offer this provision within the school. The boys and girls under Mona’s tutelage have been making excellent progress from last year and we look forward to having them play for us at future school assemblies and events.
