Today brings the curtain down on the 2024/2025 academic year. Our school motto states: 'Striving for Greatness Together,' and we as a school community certainly lived that out since we returned back in August.
To our children and families, we hope you all have the best of summers. School starts back on Monday 1st September as we kickstart the 2025/2026 academic year.
Thank you.
Our last Pupil of the Month prospects from the 2024/2025 academic year were awarded with their certificates yesterday. The acknowledgement of their industry and effort over this last month saw them all emerge as truly deserving winners. A fine way for the boys and girls to sign off the school year with.

Isabella P1
Isabella has come so far this year! Her growth in speech and her increasing awareness of her surroundings and peers has been truly inspiring. She especially thrived during our forest and beach lessons, where her curiosity and love of nature shone brightly.
Her deep affection for animals was clear in her special bond with Tula, our reading therapy dog, and she looked forward to reading sessions with her each week. Isabella also found joy in sensory play, eagerly engaging with our tuff trays. One of her favourite moments this year was watching the chicks hatch during our farm topic—she was fascinated and very gentle when handling them.
Isabella also took part in Sports Day with great enthusiasm and she especially enjoys playing in the play park, where her joyful spirit really shines. Isabella brings out a caring nature in those around her. Her classmates love to celebrate her successes.
Isabella’s journey this year has been a joy to witness. We are all so proud of her!
It was a fantastic send off for the Class of 2025 as they completed their last day in Sacred Heart P.S. The 21 boys and girls enjoyed a fabulous Leavers’ Ceremony that included our annual awards presentation, an engaging Q&A and a wonderful digital production highlighting their time in school. A walk of honour followed with family photos taken too with a delicious buffet and the cutting of the specially commissioned cake closing proceedings.
Well done to all of the pupils for their involvement in making the day unique and for their generous presentation to their class teacher. To Miss Crozier along with classroom assistant Annette Kelly, thank you for ensuring that this send off was so special and memorable. Best of luck for the future P7!
Our P7’s will complete their final day in Sacred Heart P.S. today. We look forward to giving them a wonderful send off at their Leavers’ Ceremony this afternoon. #ClassOf2025
