Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
A range of worthwhile and merited reasons as to why this week’s Pupil of the Week winners received their awards were given by our teachers at today’s assembly. There was a mixture of concepts mentioned namely achievement, effort, skill and personality.
Well done to Fionn (P1), Liam (P2), Fionn (P3), Aoife (P4), Ruadhán (P5), Ellie (P6) and Charlie (P7)!
Our non-teaching and teaching staff along with the school leadership are out on strike today. We join with the rest of those in education, civil service, healthcare and transport who are calling for better pay and work conditions.
This is one of the biggest strike days ever held in the North of Ireland. We have been without a power sharing government here since February 2022. The Secretary of State is offering £3.3bn which would settle the majority of public sector pay claims. However, it is contingent on the Stormont institutions being restored.
Orlaith P2
Orlaith is an extremely hard working, polite and caring child who always puts 100% into everything she does. We are immensely proud of how Orlaith gets on with things in class. Once given a task she has her head down and completes it to the best of her ability.
She is a very good friend to all in P2/P3 and shows excellent manners to the adults in the school as well. Mr McCartan has been blown away by Orlaith’s reading in school and she is thriving within the Accelerated Reader programme.
Orlaith produces fantastic pieces of work right across the curriculum day in, day out, always ensuring that her work is neat and presentable. She shows an interest within lessons and she has shown great strengths within Numeracy and Literacy work by being able to complete tasks independently.
Orlaith is a very diligent student and is a worthy recipient of this award.
Well done!
