Isla P7
This week’s Principal’s Award goes to P7 pupil, Isla. Isla is an incredibly hardworking girl who applies herself to all areas of the curriculum. She particularly excels during Literacy, whether that be with reading, writing stories or understanding a new grammatical concept. She will ensure that all activities are completed to the highest standard along with handwriting and presentation that can’t be faulted.
Isla is becoming a more confident pupil who tackled a lead role in our play with great enthusiasm. She is coming to the forefront during groupwork and expressing her own opinions, whist listening to those around her.
She is a kind and well-mannered pupil who shows exemplary conduct to everyone within our school community. Isla cares for those around her and is a great friend to all.
Well done!
P1 headed up to the forest today to look for signs of winter. They had a great time doing a science experiment, collecting all kinds of winter treasures and then putting them in water to see what would happen when it freezes. They also enjoyed exploring the frosty trails, looking at how the plants and trees had changed and talking about how animals get ready for winter.
Northern Ireland Forest School Association
P7 had a great start to their Trailblazer programme today. They explored different acting techniques and started to plan their stories which they will then turn into films!
Trailblazers is a project that supports pupils in exploring Good Relations issues whilst at the same time learning film making skills. The programme is proven to deliver social cohesion, the encouragement of fair and positive attitudes towards community and culture, the use of animation/film as a gateway for creativity, thought processing and transferable skills, which is all guided by professional artist facilitators.
