Mr Doyle, our Designated Teacher for Child Protection and Safeguarding, led an assembly on safeguarding this morning. This was a highly informative and captivating presentation that engaged all of the children whilst educating them on the key aspects of their safety within and outside of school.
Every child has the right to protection from harm. Sacred Heart P.S. operate with safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure that the highest standards are maintained in this respect.

This week’s Principal’s Award goes to a pupil who has had a fantastic start to the year. She has shown consistent effort across all areas of the curriculum, including completing her homework to a high standard.
She is a great team player, always working well with others, and is a true friend to everyone, showing kindness and impeccable manners.
Her hard work is really paying off, especially in her numeracy and reading, where we’ve seen wonderful improvements.
Most importantly, she comes to school every day with a big smile on her face, brightening up the classroom. Congratulations to Ella!
Well done!
The Irish language is now woven into the fabric of our everyday interactions in school. We recognise the value of engaging with and promoting our native language. One such exponent of this was P1 pupil Annie, who in the month of September brilliantly got to grips with her basic Irish greetings and prayers. A fine recipient of our Gaeligeoir na Míosa.
Autumn is well and truly upon us. As September edges to a close, we had a lot to celebrate in what turned out to be a very busy start to the 2024/2025 academic year.
To that effect, we are delighted to announce our September Pupil of the Month recipients namely Max P1, James P2, Kiannah P3, Luke P4, Seth P5, Darlene P6 and Eoghan P7.
Super effort!
We here in Sacred Heart P.S. are blessed with a fantastic team of classroom assistants who contribute immensely to our school. Today, in recognition of them all, our Student Council presented them with a token of our appreciation to acknowledge everything that they do for us.
