After being announced as the Junior Section Overall Winner in Term 1, P6 pupil Effie was invited last Wednesday by NMANDD to the official unveiling of their new roadside billboards with her design entry on them. She also received a framed copy of her original design entry as a keepsake.
This was a proud moment for Effie, her family and the school as her poster will now be visible to all throughout the district!
School reopens tomorrow (Monday) for the beginning of Term 2.2. Breakfast Club will run as normal from 8am to 8:45am with the After School Club Programme operational as well.

See you all tomorrow morning!
A huge well done goes to Ryan in P2 who was this week’s recipient of the Principal’s Award. Ryan has made sterling progress during his time in Sacred Heart P.S. Miss Byrne has remarked at how much improvement he has made across the curriculum which is massively positive. Ryan has a great friend circle and he loves engaging in outdoor play and fun games too.
Well done!

Across the school today we took part in activities to support the themes and messages of Safer Internet Day. Our children are highly aware of their online environment and the work that was undertaken re-enforced the good practice that exists here in school and at home.
We would like to remind parents/carers of the Safer Schools NI app that was recently launched here in school. It is an excellent resource for up to date and informative info related to online safeguarding.

This morning our P5/P6/P7 classes engaged in the HIP Psychology ’Mental Health Week Megathon Extravaganza.’ Led by past pupil Cormac Venney and his team at HIP, we participated in a lively and entertaining online workshop. Many different themes were explored with our boys and girls addressing some very topical issues in relation to their mental health.
