School reopens tomorrow (Monday) with Breakfast Club starting at 8am and our After School Club Programme continuing as well.

This is our last few weeks of the school year and we are looking forward to all of the exciting events that are taking place.

School will be closed tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday due to a double Bank Holiday. We will reopen on Monday 6th June. Thanks.

Kayden - P6

Kayden is a pleasant and popular pupil who demonstrates the highest degree of manners towards his peers and all staff members. He is a hardworking boy who has showed good determination towards the Transfer Test process thus far. Kayden will always ensure that his work is completed to a high standard and has shown great progression and an increase in confidence within Mental Maths. Kayden completes his reading and is eager to share his ideas and opinions about these books. It is always a pleasure to listen to Kayden read!

We are delighted to announce that after two years, our Green Tree Award journey has come to an end with the school earning the ultimate honour: The Platinum Award.

The whole school, led by the Eco-Council under the guidance of co-ordinator Miss Crozier, have worked extremely hard to achieve this. Along the way they have increased the biodiversity around our school grounds and within the local community, celebrated nature and demonstrated great awareness of the importance of our woodlands.

Saturday was a very special day for our P4 boys and girls in Mr Doyle’s class as they celebrated the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. The children did themselves, their school and their families proud, such was their sterling contribution to the ceremony.

Thank you to everyone who assisted with the preparations and on the day itself. Your efforts were massively appreciated.

Sacred Heart P.S. had a great morning of football at the annual tournament in St Louis G.S.

Pitched in a group with St Colman’s P.S. Kilkeel and Grange P.S., the boys gave their all, playing some fantastic football throughout.

Thanks goes to St Louis G.S. for the invite and hospitality.

Brilliant all round performances from our school Netball team this morning as they put in a strong shift at the annual St Louis G.S. Tournament.

The girls played matches against St Mary’s P.S. Newcastle, St Columban’s P.S. Lower Mourne and Grange P.S.
