The following classes will avail of swimming lessons in Downpatrick Leisure Centre on a Thursday morning:
Mr Lundy's P5/P6 class (Term 1)
Miss Crozier's P7 class (Term 2)
Mr Doyle's P4/P5 class (Term 3)
Swimming can be paid for on SchoolMoney.
Please note that Mr Lundy's class will start their swimming programme on Thursday 12th September.
Thanks.
Mr Doyle’s class had a vibrant start to the new academic year. Firstly, the children painted a silhouette of a sunset island scene. They had an opportunity to mix primary colours to create a wash for their background.
They then took to the outdoors for some blackberry picking as part of their first WAU topic: ‘Food, Glorious Food!’ With it being late August and with a barrage of heavy rain and sun for a full week, the blackberries ripened perfectly for picking.
Our new After School Club Programme for Term 1.1 starts on Monday 2nd September and runs through to Friday 25th October.
The Tuesday with Healthy Kidz is £3.50 a session. It is to be booked and paid for through their portal. It should not be booked and paid for via SchoolMoney. The first session of this will begin on Tuesday 10th September. Further details to follow.
Kazuko Karate, FunFit Sports and ActiSport are £3 a session. Other sessions are £2 whilst Transfer Test Club is free.
Please book your 2pm to 4pm After School sessions for Tuesday 3rd September on School Money for this date only. Each session will be £2 on this day.
P1's can avail of After School Clubs from Monday 23rd September onwards.
Thank you.
Tomorrow (Tuesday 27th August) sees Sacred Heart P.S. reopen for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Our new P1’s will be in to 12 noon. P2 and P3 finish at 2pm whilst P4, P5, P6 and P7 finish at 3pm. Those children in P2 and P3 who have a sibling/siblings in P4 to P7 can stay from 2pm to 3pm to facilitate one pick up.
Breakfast Club is operational from tomorrow from 8am to 8:45am. The After School Programme does not begin until Monday 2nd September. Please remember too that each child should bring a packed lunch to school tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. School dinners will resume on Friday.
All children should wear full school uniform tomorrow. The yard is supervised by adults from 8:45am with the school bell ringing at 9am for lineup.
We look forward to seeing everyone in the morning as we get set to kick off another wonderful year of schooling in Sacred Heart P.S!
Thank you.
The 2023/2024 academic year came to a close today as our children got off for their summer holidays. It has been a memorable time in Sacred Heart P.S. as we celebrated our 50th anniversary on our current site over these past 12 months.
Lots will be happening over the next couple of months with our choir opening the Dundrum Village Festival on Saturday 6th July, the ActiSport camp taking place at the school from Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August and the annual Dundrum GAC club camp at the GAA grounds from Monday 5th August to Friday 9th August.
School will start back for the 2024/2025 academic year on Tuesday 27th August for all pupils (P1 to P7 inclusive). Until then, we wish all of our pupils, family members and those in our school community a very enjoyable and relaxing summer!
