Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
POSH are delighted to announce that a staggering £2537.45 profit was made from the proceeds of our 50th Anniversary Gala Ball. Thank you to everyone from within our school community who supported the event and to all those who sponsored prizes.
As ever, this money raised will be reinvested back into our children to continue to provide them with the best educational experience possible.
All those who attained ten stars in their Science Week Reading Challenge Passport were entered into a draw for three prizes today.
The P1/P2 category winner was Niamh who won a ‘Glow Lab.’ Caragh was picked out of the hat for the P3/P4 prize and she received a ‘Surprising Science Kit.’ The lucky recipient in P5 was Noomi who was chuffed to gain an ‘Amazing Reactions Set.’
Enjoy experimenting!

These last few weeks leading up to Science Week, all the children in school were encouraged to pick up non-fiction scientific related books to read. Alongside this, each boy and girl were given a reading passport that contained numerous challenges within them. Ten stars were available to be attained and today at assembly all those who maxed out their star chart were presented with a certificate to acknowledge their success.
Well done!

Aaron P3
Aaron is an extremely pleasant pupil who always has a smile on his face. He is a well-mannered and polite young person who loves school life and is always determined to give everything 100%.
Aaron has really impressed Mr McCartan with all the hard work he has been doing in preparation for their First Confession. He is also a very sporty individual who loves to compete within PE, Acti-Sport and the GAA After School Club.
Aaron is a hard grafter and this shows throughout his Numeracy and Literacy work. He is always very enthusiastic throughout lessons and loves to take part in classroom games. Aaron enjoys using mental maths strategies like partitioning to help him work out mathematical sums quickly.
Aaron you are a very worthy recipient of this award. Keep up the hard work!
Mr McCartan’s class had great fun today celebrating Science Week. Together they used vinegar, baking soda, food colouring and liquid soap to make 'Elephant Toothpaste' which created their very own chemical reaction!
This was a really fun scientific undertaking that the children all loved. It was a great chance to link in an experiment with their World Around Us topic 'The Jungle.' There were lots of amazed pupils in P2/P3 after seeing the reactions from their endeavours.

Our school text message system via Primary Site will cease as of Wednesday 27th March. We are moving our messaging services to 'The School App' platform. Thank you to everyone who has already downloaded the app. If you haven't already downloaded the app, please do so at your earliest convenience. Similarly, if you have had the app these past years, you may need to delete it and re-install it to get the latest up to date version.
Moving forward from Term 3, all school messages will be sent via 'The School App' and/or Seesaw.
Thank you.
Green Day in school will take place on Friday 15th March. Children are encouraged to come to school dressed in green to mark our annual St Patrick's Day celebrations. There will be a themed variety concert taking place in the school hall at 9:30am. All of the children in the school will be in attendance and like last year, we extend an invite to the parents and family members of our P1 class to come along and enjoy the production.
Please note that as per calendar, school will be closed on Monday 18th March.
Thank you.
