After a very successful AGM on Thursday past, the wheels are in motion for a busy time of school fundraising ahead for POSH.
Upcoming events include:
- Launch of Christmas Prize Draw Raffle (Monday 22nd November).
- Festive Coffee Morning and Carol Singing at the Car Boot Sale (Sunday 12th December).
- Christmas Movie Night for P1 to P7 (Friday 17th December).
The support of our school community for all these initiatives is hugely appreciated.
Miss Crozier’s P6/P7 class will be partaking in this year’s edition of the JEP. Running over a period of 12 weeks, JEP nurtures creativity, independence and problem-solving among pupils of all abilities, with every aspect of the programme seamlessly blending into the curriculum.
Under Miss Crozier’s guidance, and with the inspiration of local entrepreneurs, children will discover their strengths as individuals and as part of a team. Together, they’ll choose, invest in and produce their own product or service from scratch, all the way to making it available for sale at a school-hosted JEP Showcase Day - and enjoying the profits at the end.
Best of luck everyone!
This week we have two Principal Award winners namely Rosie-Leigh in P2 and Delilah in P4.
Rosie-Leigh was praised for her mannerly way and the fact that she is a great role model for all of the P2 class. Delilah was recognised for the outstanding progress she has made across the curriculum and for her strong effort in all of her school work.
Well done girls!
Arts and Crafts on a Tuesday is one of our most popular After School Clubs. Led by our very artistic classroom assistants, Maria and Annette, it has proven to be a big hit among the children who attend.
To date there has been a wide range of endeavours undertaken. From Autumnal scenes to scary Halloween creations and a whole lot more, the levels of creativity have been astounding.
We are blessed with a lot of artistic talent within Sacred Heart P.S.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
