Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The first meeting of the 2021/22 school year for POSH (Parents of Sacred Heart) will take place tomorrow (Thursday) at 6:30pm in the school hall.
It would be great to see new faces come on board to support and build on the superb fundraising work that has been carried out by POSH over the past few years.
Thanks.
Please click the link below regarding your attendance at a meeting with Father Fleck P.P. this coming Thursday in the school at 3pm to discuss the future of the Parish of Dundrum and Tyrella.
Thank you.
Politeness, exemplary manners and a dedicated concern for others were just some of the positive attributes associated with this week’s Principal’s Award winner.
P6 pupil Eimear was a truly deserving recipient this week such is the way she conducts herself in school and contributes to life here in Sacred Heart P.S.
Well done!

Yep On what was a crisp Autumn morning, we held our second outdoor assembly of the school year. In previous weeks the weekly assembly was done online using Collaborate Ultra.
Themes today that were focussed on included:
- Bike to School Week.
- Fire Awareness Week.
- Dyslexia Awareness Week.
- National Poetry Day.
- Eco Council/Student Council.
- Halloween.
Our Pupil of the Month and Principal Award winners were announced as well.
The boys and girls who attend our parish/school pre school afternoon club, Young at Heart, continue to enjoy all the fun activities that they partake in.
This week they went on a nature trail to collect leaves for their Autumn trays. Blackberries were also gathered which was then made into dough! Everyone had a great time foraging around the village.
Bike to School Week witnessed high numbers of participating boys and girls taking part in an effort to cycle or scoot to school during these past five days.
We also welcomed John Ross of Ross Cycles to Sacred Heart P.S. on Thursday. He performed a Dr Bike session with every class, showing them all the mechanics of bikes as well as giving some great tips on road safety.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
