  Farrah from P3 was the most deserving of winners today for the Principal’s Award. Throughout the week her work was immaculately presented while she gave full effort to all her activities and tasks. Well done!

  At today’s first outdoor assembly of the new school year, our fantastic Pupil of the Week recipients were recognised.

  Such was the absolute brilliance of our P1’s in their first week in Sacred Heart PS, all of them were collectively awarded: ‘Pupil’s of the Week.’ Well done!

• Principal’s Award

  Well done to P2 pupil Annie who was the first recipient of our new weekly Principal’s Award. Annie received this award for her ‘exemplary manners in class’ throughout the week. Well done!

  

• 20mph Zone

  We were delighted to learn yesterday that the Department of Infrastructure has agreed to designate the area around our school as a 20mph zone. This is great news and will serve to ensure that the safety of our children is prioritised, coming to and going from school.

• School Return - Tuesday 31st August

  Sacred Heart P.S. started the 2021/22 school year in the most positive of ways today as we welcomed our P1’s in for their first day as well as the return of our P2 to P7 classes. A great day was had by all as the children got to meet their new teachers and see their friends again. Everyone in our school community is looking forward to a great year ahead!

  

• P1’s First Day

  It was with great delight that we welcomed our new P1’s into Sacred Heart P.S. this morning. There were happy faces all around as the boys and girls made their way to their new class, full of enthusiasm for the day ahead.

  The P1’s got to meet Miss Murray along with Betty, Orla and Cathy, as they all explored their new surroundings. There was lots of fun had throughout the morning as well as a visit from the Brennan’s ice cream van. 

  We look forward to the Mourne Observer coming tomorrow morning for our official P1 photo (full school uniform is required), as we continue what is set to be a brilliant first week back for everyone!

  

• Brennan’s Ice Cream

  To mark our first day back in school, the Brennan’s ice cream van made a visit to Sacred Heart P.S. at break time. The whole school got to enjoy ice cream as we kicked off the new school year with a lovely treat.
