It’s a sell out! Our P6/P7’s sold all 112 of their customised Sacred Heart P.S. water bottles today. An incredible effort by the whole team, from the initial idea concept through to the design process and then on to the marketing aspect before the selling today.

Well done to Miss Crozier’s class for proving to be superb business people. Thank you as well goes to all those in our school community who purchased a bottle. Your support is much appreciated

- P6/P7 JEP Showcase Day will take place. New SHPS water bottles will be on sale from 8:30am-9am and 2pm to 2:30pm outside main entrance. Bottles retailing at £8.99.

- GAA Jersey Day. Suggested £1 minimum donation. All proceeds going towards the purchase of a bin for the playground. PE uniform can be worn too.

This Friday our JEP Showcase Day will take place. Miss Crozier’s P6/P7 class will finally get the opportunity to sell their limited edition water bottles to our school community. They will be available to purchase from 8:30am in the morning and again from 2pm in the afternoon. A unique and one of a kind product which will be retailing at £8.99.

The school would like place on record their thanks to our fundraising arm, POSH, who have very generously funded the P7’s leavers’ jumpers. This is massively appreciated by us all, especially the boys and girls who will be presented with them tomorrow in class.

In an effort to raise funds to purchase a new bin for our school playground, the Student Council have organised a GAA Jersey Day for this coming Friday. A suggested minimum donation of £1 can be made. Children are encouraged to come to school in their favourite GAA jersey!

Úna is a very deserving recipient of this award. She has grown in confidence and progressed in leaps and bounds since the beginning of the year.

Úna loves coming to school and always has a big smile on her face! She has really impressed everyone with her reading abilities and is slowly but surely becoming a more confident participant in class discussions.

Úna loves music lessons and enjoys outdoor learning with her friends and she is always keen to have a go at writing activities during play-based learning.

Úna is such an asset to the Primary One class, and it is a real pleasure to be involved in her learning journey.

Well done to Aliaith P2, Rebecca P3, Noah P4, Elliot P5, Kasey P6 and Cara P7 who were all awarded Pupil of the Week certificates today.

There was a massive effort from both Sacred Heart P.S. teams this morning at the Down GAA Cumann na mBunscol 9-a-side qualifiers in Kilcoo GAC. 

Special mention goes to our girls’ team who finished 2nd in their group. From that they progressed to play St Malachy’s P.S. Kilcoo in the playoff final, just going down by the narrowest of margins as Kilcoo qualified for the county finals. 

Well done everyone!

An enjoyable afternoon was had with Sentinus today as their co-ordinator Jack led an excellent workshop based on toy creation.

All those in attendance thoroughly embraced the challenge with everyone given the task of making a car using an array of equipment.

Well done to all those who participated and to those parents who also joined in with the fun.
