Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Sacred Heart P.S. Open Morning will take place this coming Wednesday (7th December) from 10am to 12 noon.
All those boys and girls going into P1 in September 2023 are most welcome to attend along with their parents/carers. Feel free to come at any time between 10am and 12 noon to see the school in action.
We would also encourage those of Pre-Pre School age to attend as well as any other families in our wider community who would like to see around the school.

Niamh P5
Niamh is receiving this award because of her continuous hard work in the class. She is always willing to challenge herself and extend her understanding across all subject areas.
Niamh always has a smile on her face from when she enters the door until she leaves. It is wonderful to see her enjoying all aspects of school life.
She is continually positive and takes on her work with a can-do attitude. Keep up the great work!
Our Daily Mile Santa Run took place in school this afternoon with plenty of exercise and excitement to the fore!
The school participates in the Daily Mile throughout the academic year and today’s annual event added a festive element to the fitness regime.
Great fun was had by all! We also had Young at Heart along with us to join in as well.
The Sacred Heart P.S. school choir performed wonderfully at tonight’s Christmas tree light switch on at Murlough Sands.
The boys and girls sang their hearts out to all their festive favourites.
Thanks goes to Mr Doyle for leading the choir and to Paul Madden and Eva McAlea for their musical support.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
We learned this afternoon that we were one of the successful schools in the recent Energy Saving Week competition organised by the Energy Saving Trust.
In collaboration with the Housing Executive and Conservation Volunteers, the Energy Saving Trust will be presenting Sacred Heart P.S. with the best potted willow tree samples for us to plant in the school to assist in enhancing our grounds.
Well done to all the children who took part in the competition and a big thanks to Miss Crozier for her organisation of the initiative.
Today marked the 1st of December and it is safe to say that the countdown to Christmas officially began in Sacred Heart P.S!
As soon as ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ blasted over the speakers, everyone sat down to a wonderful dinner and some brilliant festive fun.
We extend our appreciation to Betty and Maria for a superb spread. Thank you as well goes to our classroom assistant Laura for her efforts too.
The countdown is well and truly underway!

P2, P6 and P7 took part in their first joint Forest School lesson today at Dundrum Castle. The Forest School initiative is a fantastic opportunity for children to solve problems and work as a team whilst exploring and learning about the environment around them.
P2 taught the boys and girls from P6 and P7 all about their Arctic topic and together, they created some beautiful replicas of different animals from that region, including narwals and polar bears, using only the natural materials around them.
Everyone had a fantastic time and they are looking forward to the next joint lesson as we aim to embed the Forest School programme within Sacred Heart P.S!
