  Please see below the latest update on Post Primary admissions that was released today by the Education Authority (EA).

   

  Admissions criteria for Post Primary schools will be published on our website on 2nd February 2021. 

  Each school's Board of Governors determine and apply its admissions criteria and it is important that you read these criteria carefully before making your application.

  The Post Primary application process will be electronic via the EA website. This process opens at 12 noon on 1st March 2021 and will remain open until 4pm on 16th March 2021.

  Today marks the beginning of Catholic Schools’ Week (Sunday 24th January to Sunday 31st January.) The theme this year is ‘Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith and Resilience.’

   

  To mark this week’s events there will be a special Mass led by Fr Edward Magee on Thursday at 12 noon from St Mary’s University College. There will be a particular focus on Catholic Schools as communities of faith, learning, love, resilience and hope.   - Sacrament of Reconciliation - P.3. - (Tuesday 13th April at 1:30pm).

   

  - Confirmation - P.7. - (Thursday 6th May at 3pm).

   

  - First Holy Communion - P.4. - (Saturday 22nd May at 11am).

   

  These dates have been agreed with Father Fleck P.P. With the nature of the current Pandemic, we do have to note that they are provisional and could be subject to change. We will endeavour to proceed with them as set out, circumstances pending.

  We have just completed our first full week of Remote Learning and all the staff here in school are immensely proud of the efforts of the children.

   

  The work, feedback and collaboration on SeeSaw has been an integral part of the process whilst Education City and Literacy Bug Club have been running productively alongside it. Our structured and well resourced work packs have been an invaluable asset as well. 

   

  It is great to see so many Sacred Heart pupils working hard and maximising their learning at home. We also recognise the efforts of those Key Worker children who have been attending school for Supervised Learning. Keep it up!
