In the lead up to St Patrick's Day 2023, the school will be actively engaging in Seachtain na Gaelige. Established in 1902, this is the biggest Irish language festival in the world and everyone in Sacred Heart P.S. is very much looking forward to acknowledging and participating in it.
On Thursday 16th March we will be a having 'Green Day' in school. All children are encouraged to come to school dressed in green. To kickstart the morning, the whole school will perform a collective rendition of Sé Do Bheatha Mhuire before a host of exciting cultural opportunities will take place throughout the day.
At 1:05pm in the school hall there will be a special St Patrick's Day themed assembly led by Miss Byrne's P1 class. P1's parents/family members are most welcome to attend. Every class will contribute to this through song, music, dance and recitiation.
School will be closed on Friday 17th March (St Patrick's Day).
