Miss Byrne and our classroom assistant Ciara along with P4 pupils Annie and Kasia attended Ulster University, Belfast, today for a special ceremony in recognition of schools that partook in Scoil Spreagtha over the past academic year.
Sacred Heart P.S. received the Bronze Award (Duais Chré-umha) from Ollscoil Uladh as well as our official Scoil Spreagtha status in association with Foras na Gaelige, Gael Linn and Cultúrlann ui Chanáin.
This achievement was the result of a number of initiatives throughout the 2023/2024 academic year within the school that were connected to the promotion and everyday use of the Irish language. We thank Miss Byrne for her co-ordination of this and for the successful rollout in Sacred Heart P.S.
To our children as well for their high levels of enthusiasm for everything as Gaelige. Maith thú!
