Miss Mack’s class had an exciting visit to the Armagh Planetarium!
They took part in an engaging workshop where they built rockets from water bottles and launched them outside. Inside the dome, they watched a fascinating film about the planets in our solar system, followed by a highly interesting talk about different planets and their moons. They were especially intrigued to learn that two rockets are currently travelling to the Europa moon to search for signs of life!
The guide was very impressed by the children’s knowledge from their topic work on ‘Space.’ To round off the trip, they explored the interactive exhibition area, played with various games and stations, and even got to try on astronaut suits. They also demonstrated excellent behaviour throughout the trip, representing our school wonderfully.
It was a fantastic day of learning and fun!
