Yesterday Mr Doyle’s P4 class made their way to the interactive Ballydugan medieval settlement. As ‘Vikings’ is their current World Around Us topic, the class got to enjoy a fully immersive step back in time to learn about the Dark Ages in Ireland.
The boys and girls were afforded the opportunity to make and taste traditional foods from the era, visit the textile worker and the herbalist, try their hand at longbow archery and axe throwing as well as many more ancient crafts and skills.
A fantastic learning experience was had by all!
