Sacred Heart P.S. closed for the Easter holidays yesterday. Before we went off, there were a number of events that took place to mark the run up to this special week.
On Monday morning, all classes took part in an Easter Egg Hunt around the school premises. This was a throughly enjoyable quest with the children given clues and hints to help them along the way.
That afternoon a special outdoor assembly was held in the school yard. The focus centred around the events of Holy Week and a reflection on the religious aspect of Easter.
Before everyone went home, every child in the school was presented with an Easter Egg courtesy of our ever generous POSH. This was a lovely gesture and was appreciated by all.
We would like to wish all our school community a very happy and peaceful Easter.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
