- Monday 27th September to Friday 1st October -
Next week is Bike to School Week. Your child/children are welcome to cycle their bicycles to school. Please ensure that your child’s bike is safe to cycle on before they take part. Please also ensure that your child gets to school safely on their bikes and gets home safely too. Scooting to school is encouraged as well!
If your child/children are cycling to school, please ensure that they;
· Ride sensibly and safely and to follow the Highway Code.
· Wear a helmet at all times whilst cycling to and from school.
· Ensure they can be seen by other road users, by using bicycle lights and wearing high visibility clothing, as appropriate.
We will also be welcoming John Ross from Ross Cycles to the school on Thursday for Dr Bike Day. John will be able to look at all the bikes and fix any issues with them.
There will be a competition running next week in conjunction with the event. Details can be found at https://www.sustrans.org.uk/.../bike-to-school-week-pledge/. Submitting the form will enter you into our prize draw to win a Frog Bike worth up to £400.
Thanks.
