In 2021 World Book Day, just like everything else, was a bit different. We adapted to make sure that it sent a powerful and positive message about books and reading, even in Lockdown.
The day was a celebration of everything to do with books - from the authors and illustrators to the children who read them.
All of our pupils came together to celebrate reading - having the chance to dress up as their favourite literary character on the day, design their favourite book covers and even create a potato character from a book!
The aim of the event was to encourage more children to discover the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to explore our literary world.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
