Over these past few months, the school have been utilising funds that have been provided by POSH to invest in different areas of the curriculum and school provision. The designated support funds have been put to great use currently and will continue to do so with whole school development.
We place on record our thanks to POSH for their sterling fundraising work which enables a sizeable amount of money to be raised which in turn benefits our children’s educational experience directly.
Investment has taken place in seven different areas:
- ICT -
* New laptops.
* New iPads and cases.
* iPad charging/docking stations.
* iPad organisational trolley.
- PE -
* Cricket set.
* Replenishment of bibs, cones and footballs.
- Numeracy -
* Mini clocks.
* Place value counters.
* Manipulatives (blocks, counters).
* Numeracy games and puzzles to resource FS, KS1 and KS2.
* Numeracy Activity Based Learning equipment/resources for FS, KS1 and KS2.
- World Around Us -
* Topic resources (including WW2 evacuees suitcase etc).
* Science equipment.
- Literacy/SEN -
* Replenishment of books for the school reading scheme.
* Writer’s pyramid resources.
* Sets of SPAG activity cards.
* Blending resources.
* Additional intervention resources.
- Outdoor Play -
* KS2 puddle suits.
* Digger for small playground.
* Large sandpit for small playground.
* Loose parts crates.
* Bunker storage.
- Whole School Development -
* Storage container.
* Arts and Crafts workshops for children.
* Language specialist (Spanish/Mandarin) to be facilitated throughout the school.
* Continuation of school trip cost supplementation along with Leavers’ jumpers, P7 Residential etc.
* Staff training/development opportunities through outside providers.
