A great trip was had today to the Mourne Seafood Bar for Mr McCartan’s P2/P3 class as part of their World Around Us topic, ‘Our Local Area.’
The boys and girls learned a lot about the history of the establishment and found out that the building is over 200 years old! Its past and former uses were all showcased with the pupils also getting the opportunity to work on a map reading exercise focussing on the village.
The excursion was finished off with a delightful lunch of fish and chips for everyone which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A huge thank you goes to Wayne (Caolán’s dad), Chris, Donnach and Fionnuala for providing the food and their warmth and hospitality.
