The P2/P3 class took part in some outdoor learning to help improve their knowledge on partitioning as part of their undertakings for Maths Week.
P2 explored different ways that they could partition numbers within 20. P3 were focussing on crossing 10 with addition and using partitioning to help them cross 10.
P3 also showed how they could firstly add to the next multiple of 10 and then simply add on the rest.
This was a very fun and worthwhile experience for Mr McCartan’s class and the children really enjoyed getting to explore learning outdoors by creating their own part whole models.
