Defining, recognising, embedding and celebrating success within our school is very important to us.
Today the Mathlete award was introduced by our Numeracy subject lead Mr Doyle. This monthly accolade centres on a host of achievements namely:
- Mastering a challenging mental maths strategy and applying it accurately.
- Demonstrating significant improvement in mental arithmetic or problem solving tasks.
- Persevering in learning new concepts and showing resilience in tackling tricky Maths problems.
- Helping peers by sharing strategies or explaining thinking during group work.
- Exceeding expectations by consistently performing at a high standard in Maths activities.
Our most deserving inaugural recipients were: Oonagh P1, Grace P2, Matty P3, Luke P4, Annie and Rebecca P5, Austin P6 and Charlie P7.
Well done!
