Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This morning the whole school participated in the national Daily Mile event. Walking, jogging and skipping were the order of the day as the pupils made their way around our playground track.
To reward everyone’s efforts, we received a special visit from Brennan’s ice cream van. This was throughly enjoyed and appreciated by all.
Sentinus visited Sacred Heart P.S. yesterday afternoon for a collaborative project that brought together staff, parents and children from the school.
The STEM workshop was facilitated by Mr Gerry Hughes with the theme being project based learning in action through building structures.
This was a fantastic learning experience for all involved as everyone came together to work on the different tasks at hand.
Some of the bridge building on show was of the highest standard while the rocket design activity captured the imagination.
Thank you to Sentinus for delivering the workshop and to the staff members, parents and children who all attended.
The draw was made this afternoon for our latest fundraiser. Well done to the following who won the three prizes:
1st prize (£150): Ramona Hamill-Davison (79).
2nd prize (£100): John Smyth (64).
3rd prize (£50): Charlie Trainor (9).
Thank you to all in our school community who supported the fundraiser and to POSH for their work in organising it.
As ever, the money generated will be reinvested into the children of Sacred Heart P.S.

This morning our P4’s made their First Holy Communion in the Sacred Heart Church.
The boys and girls were an absolute credit to themselves, their families and their school.
Well done to all the children. We thank Mr Brennan for his work in preparing them for the Sacrament. Appreciation is also reserved for Mr Doyle and Miss Kearney for the beautiful music.
Enjoy the rest of your special day!
