Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We have had a very busy but enjoyable Easter at Sacred Heart PS. On Monday, we had a Cake & Bun Sale to raise money for all of the good work of Trocaire. There was over £300 raised- which was a great total- huge thanks to parents and grandparents who supported the Sale!
On Tuesday there was a special Assembly on Holy Week led by the P1 children. It was fantastic and included drama, singing, poetry - there was even sign language. Our Easter Raffle was held and the winners were; 1st Prize Evgenia Rankin, 2nd Prize Mairead Mc Mullan, 3rd Prize Isla Trainor , 4th Prize Darragh Ward and 5th Prize Niamh Roche. Well done to all of our Easter Winners.
On Wednesday we held our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Each class was challenged to find small coloured Easter Eggs hidden around the school grounds- all classes had great fun and were successful. They were rewarded with a class set of Easter Eggs.
We look forward to seeing all of our pupils back on Monday 29th April and hope all of our families have a lovely Easter Break!
Congratulations to our brilliant P7 pupils who received the Sacrament of Confirmation today in St Joseph’s Church Ballykinler. They prepared excellently and their reading, singing and involvement in today’s ceremony was a source of pride to the whole school community. Thanks to Fr McKinley and Fr Fleck for a lovely service and to our friends from St Joseph’s Tyrella for their warm welcome and assistance in preparations!
The Promoting School Community Programme is firmly underway at Sacred Heart PS. It is proving to be highly successful with a great turnout of parents, grandparents and community members. There has been very positive feedback on the sessions. The programme is on consecutive Monday evenings in Sacred Heart PS from 7.30pm-8.30pm. See photos below from pottery sessions.
