Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our school received notice yesterday that P4 pupil Elliot reached the final stages of the judging process for the Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
There were close to 20,000 entries this year across the island of Ireland with the standard being extremely high. Elliot’s work received a Certificate of Commendation.
Well done!
As we come towards the end of the school year, our school community would like to acknowledge and thank POSH for all the work that they do to contribute to school funds. Their dedication and innovation to fundraising ensures that we as a school and our children can reap the benefits.
Thank you POSH!
Pictured are Student Council Chairperson Niamh (P7), Vice-Chairperson Martin (P7) and members Freya (P5) and Lorcan (P5) along with the P1 class who were the winners of the Healthy Break Competition which we ran last week.
The Student Council conducted their last meeting of the school year and came up with the idea to have a Healthy Break Competition. P1 came out as winners and were awarded a prize.
Well done!
The P6/P7 class were delighted to receive a certificate each from the Junior Entrepreneur Programme after their successful completion of the JEP. This year was the first time that Sacred Heart P.S. had enrolled in the initiative and all the boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed participating in it.
We also had three P7 pupils, Niamh, Brendan and Eoin who were acknowledged regarding the completion of their Cycling Proficiency. Under the guidance of Mr McCartan and Miss Crozier, the children completed an intensive 8 week course which enabled them to brush up on their road safety and biking skills.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
