Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
It was our first week back after the Mid-Term Break as Remote/Supervised Learning kicked into gear once again. Well done to the following who were given the Pupil of the Week awards:
P1 - Seth and Rosie Leigh
P2 - Sean and Austin
P3 - Elsie
P4 - Sophie
P5 - Jasmin
P6 - Eoin
P7 - John Victor and Christopher
On Monday past our pupils were posed the following questions: Have you ever used a plastic bottle as a bird feeder? What else can you reuse a plastic bottle for? Do you know of any other item that could be turned into something else useful?
The responses to this Upcycling Challenge were superb. The creativity on show was nothing short of brilliant. Cast your eye over some of the inventions and prepared to be impressed!
School will reopen tomorrow (Monday) for Supervised Learning for our Key Worker/Vulnerable Children. Remote Learning will also restart for those children at home.
On Tuesday past the boys and girls of Sacred Heart took part in activities related to Safer Internet Day.
Safer Internet Day 2021 celebrated the amazing range of information and opportunities online, and its potential to inform, connect and inspire us, whilst also looking at how our pupils can separate fact from fiction.
The campaign focused on how we can know what to trust online, supporting our pupils to question, challenge and change the online world. It explored how influence, persuasion and manipulation can impact their decisions, opinions and what they share online.
School will be closed for all of next week, 15th to 19th February inclusive, for our Mid-Term Break. We will reopen on Monday 22nd February for Supervised Learning for Key Worker/Vulnerable Children. Our Remote Learning programme will also restart on this day.
A huge well done goes to all our pupils, parents and staff for their sterling efforts over these past six weeks. With a high level of collaboration, we have ensured that the period was a productive one for all of our children.
We hope that everyone has a very enjoyable and relaxing Mid-Term Break. Get plenty of rest and exercise.
Take care and stay safe.
Today, Tuesday 9th February, marks Safer Internet Day. The theme once again is: 'together for a better internet.' The day calls upon everyone to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people.
The pupils of Sacred Heart will have received tasks via SeeSaw and we would encourage everyone to be fully participant in these as we aim to raise awareness of safer internet practices.
