Laetare has an infectious energy and always has a big smile on her face. She has exemplary manners, and she shows a mature attitude towards learning. Laetare is a keen storyteller and is already able to blend words independently which is a fantastic achievement.
She is an excellent role model and Miss Byrne relays that she is a pleasure to teach. Keep up the outstanding work!

Emily P7
Emily has demonstrated an increased sense of maturity this year. She is a caring friend and is always looking out for those around her. She has already proven herself to be a fantastic buddy to the P1's and has been taking this new found role and responsibility very seriously, setting a fantastic example for her peers.
Emily has become an extremely independent and focused worker during lessons. She has been making huge progress within her Literacy and reading. Emily has been taking ownership of her own learning and it is evident that she is seeking challenges and improvements during class activities.
Well done!

Miss Crozier’s class had a fantastic trip the the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra today!
Whilst there, they got to experience what life would have been like in Ireland over one hundred years ago. They visited a number of different places and were able immerse themselves in each of them. They visited the smiths, printers, police barracks, sweet shop, weavers and many more. The class were able to listen to the character’s stories, ask questions and even got to try some authentic soda bread!
A wonderful learning experience was had by all.
This morning we welcomed renowned author Charlie Graham to school. Charlie came to do read throughs with each class as well as promote his new book, ‘Missing Monkeys.’
This was an engaging literary experience for all involved with the children fully immersed during story time. Those who pre-ordered the book also got Charlie to sign them as a keepsake.
P1 visited their friends in Knockevin today as the boys and girls came together for a wonderful morning of activities. Building on the existing strong relationship between the schools that was was fostered through Shared Education, this was a great chance for everyone to reacquaint at the start of a new school year.
The children got to partake in bun making, sensory play and reading time. Everyone was encouraged to wear yellow too as recognition for World Mental Health Day.
A very enjoyable time was had by all!
