Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We were delighted to learn this morning that we have officially been awarded the 'Silver' award in the Woodland Trust's Green Tree Scheme.
It was only in June that we received the 'Bronze' accolade so everyone was ecstatic to hear that we achieved the next grade so quickly.
A huge thanks goes to our Eco Schools' co-ordinator Miss Crozier along with the pupils from our Eco Council for all the hard work and effort that they have put into this programme.
Due to a clash with Dundrum GAC's senior men's Down JFC semi final on Friday 22nd October, we have decided to rearrange our fundraiser for the following day at 4pm. The venue will be at the GAA grounds. Sponsorship forms plus further details will be released in the next few days.
Please share among our school community!
POSH (Parents of Sacred Heart) will be staging their first big school fundraiser of 2021/22 with the return of the ever popular Tug O' War event. It is set to take place under lights on Friday 22nd October (weather permitting) at the GAA grounds with a 6:30pm start.
More information and details will be made available early next week. It is set to be a great evening and we look forward to the support of all of our school community for it.
The school will be running our first ever Halloween themed 'Pumpkin Carving Competition' over this next fortnight. It is open to all children, from P1 to P7.
Families can purchase a pumpkin from any local vendor. Children can then work at home, designing and carving their pumpkins, before bringing them into school on Thursday 21st October to be put in a special pumpkin lantern outdoor display.
There will be a prize for the best carved pumpkin in Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
