Today Primary 5/6 had a visit from St Louis' for a GAA skills session. They practiced lots of skills such as toe tapping with each foot, bouncing with both hands, fist passing, low kicks and high catch as well as playing some fun team games. Everyone participated really well and showed great skill.

P5/6 have been trying hard with their gymnastics. Today we looked at movement and travelling by trying out some rolls. They tried a log roll, egg roll, teddy bear roll, rock and roll and a forward roll. They enjoyed testing and displaying their skills through demonstrations, and will start to incorporate these travelling movements into their sequences.

P5/6 have been working on gymnastics skills during PE. In this lesson, they built on previous learning and started to incorporate balances and transitions to form smooth and dynamic movement sequences. They worked in pairs to link different shapes and balances, and practiced transitions focusing on control and flow. The results were impressive, with many children creating their own unique sequences!
