School Vision

In Sacred Heart School we aim to give all the children in our care, wide experiences appropriate to their age and ability.  We try to develop in our pupils a pride in their own self-worth and recognition of the value of other people, regardless of social or cultural background.  We expect our pupils to work hard to achieve our aims and for parents to assist us in carrying out our responsibilities in a mutually supportive and caring environment.

THE AIMS OF THE SCHOOL

Sacred Heart Primary School aims to provide the best possible opportunities for pupils to learn and develop, so as to help them fulfill their potential and contribute to society and the economy.

We aim to do this in the following ways:

• To create a caring, Christian environment in which every individual is aware of his/her personal worth as a human being and child of God.

• To foster in the children respect, not only for themselves, but also for all other people regardless of age, colour, creed or class.

• To encourage concern for those in need and a willingness to help.

• To work closely with parents and others involved in the welfare of the children so that school is seen as an extension of the Christian Family at home.

• To help each child grow and develop spiritually, morally, intellectually, culturally and physically.

• To aim for the highest standard of skill and achievement in all subjects while being aware of the difficulties and limitations of individual children.

• To provide, where possible, additional help, support and encouragement for less able and more able children.

• To try to follow, in every aspect of school life, the Christian guidelines of Kindness, Truth, Understanding and Justice.

• To establish an environment where all the Staff, School Governors, Ancillary staff and Parents can work with each other for the successful achievement of these aims.
