Children used 'Just 2 Easy' to create a scene from The Gingerbread Man. Children added their own captions and speech bubbles.
Tying in with our new story, The Gingerbread Man, children had great fun decorating their own gingerbread men and acting out the story in our sensory tuff tray.
We used Just2Easy to add speech bubbles for the characters in The Little Red Hen.
3 Little Pigs ��
Children used the app, Puppet Pals, to bring their versions of The Three Little Pigs to life!

We have been learning the story of The Three Little Pigs. P1 have loved exploring this through play, retelling the story in the tuff tray, building houses for the pigs, listening to the story in our digital library and building each of the houses on minecraft with their P7 buddies!

Jack and the Beanstalk�� Children have really enjoyed retelling this story and acting it out during play time. We made our own story maps, magic beans and a beanstalk! Children then drew some pictures and wrote super sentences about the story.
The Wicked Witch and the Three Ghosts ��
Children enjoyed creating their own Halloween stories. We changed the characters and setting of Goldilocks and the Three Bears to come up with our own Halloween themed creations.

Story Telling
Children used the app 'Puppet Pals,' to retell the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Children used scratch to create an animation of Goldilocks and the Three Bears �� They then used the Apple TV show their work to the rest of the class.
Children are really enjoying our new story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They have had fun retelling the story in our tuff tray and filling up the porridge for the 3 Bears.

We have adopted a multi-sensory approach to phonics using sand, playdough, IPADs and magnetic letters to help make learning memorable and fun!
We worked on developing phonological awareness by listening carefully to the different sounds made in the story of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt.' We used musical instruments and thought carefully about which instrument matched the sound best.

Children collected a range of natural materials to create our own sensory story map and enjoyed using puppets to retell the story during PBL.
Working on our fine motor skills ✂️ Learning has been predominantly play based during the first week of Primary One. Children have been working on developing their fine motor skills including lots of scissor and tweezer work to get their muscles ready to write.
