How do our muscles work?

We created model arms to investigate how muscles work in pairs. This experiment helped us to visualise how muscles like the biceps and triceps contract and relax together to help us move our arms.

We put our anatomy knowledge to the test and worked together to rebuild the human body, carefully placing each organ in its correct position. 

The Human Body - Irish edition!

On European Day of Languages, we had the opportunity to incorporate our chosen language of Irish into our topic work. Children took their understanding of internal and external organs further by translating from English to Irish.

We have been learning all about internal and external organs as part of our human body topic. Children worked in pairs to make an outline of their partners body before labelling it from memory.
