Maths Week Ireland

As part of Maths Week Ireland, P7 explored the interactive games including a dice challenge where we had to roll numbers in pairs and use our mental maths skills to reach a target of 100. We enjoyed problem solving puzzles which helped to develop logical thinking and teamwork skills as well as designing a poster with facts about our favourite number.

Numeracy in Irish!

As part of European Day of Languages, children had the opportunity to incorporate our chosen language of Irish into their learning. In class, we have been working on writing numerals in words and extended our learning by translating into Irish. We later consolidated our learning by completing a number quiz.

Place Value - Outdoor Learning

Children enjoyed using bean bags to consolidate their understanding of place value and partitioning numbers. First we worked from a whiteboard before working from memory as a little challenge. Well done everyone!
