*** World Book Day 2026 – Sacred Heart P.S. Goes All In! ***

On Thursday our whole school embraced the World Book Day 2026 motto “Go All In” — and that’s exactly what our pupils and staff did!
It was a fun, creative and energetic celebration of reading, with activities taking place across every year group, including:

✨ ASPIRE Event in Knockevin
Pupils enjoyed a fantastic literacy‑focused experience, working alongside Knockevin and engaging in storytelling and book‑themed challenges in a wonderful environment.

✨ Book Reviews
Children shared their favourite reads in written, digital and verbal formats — developing confidence and deepening their love of books.

✨ Just2Easy Literacy Tasks
Classes completed interactive reading and writing challenges on the J2E platform, bringing ideas to life in engaging digital formats.

✨ World Book Day Webinars
Pupils tuned into live and recorded author sessions, sparking imagination and inspiring young readers and writers.

✨ Book Swaps
Children exchanged books with peers, encouraging exploration of new genres and giving stories a new home.

✨ Even More Book Reviews!
Pupils were eager to share insights into the stories they love — proving that reading really is alive and well in Sacred Heart P.S.

✨ A World Book Day Themed PE Lesson
PE sessions with activities inspired by story characters, teamwork challenges, and movement tasks linked to pupils’ favourite books — proving that reading and physical activity make a perfect match!

✨Young at Heart
Story time with our youngest boys and girls who all fully immersed themselves into reading activities and play.

It was a fantastic celebration of reading, creativity and imagination in Sacred Heart P.S. — and everyone truly went all in!
