*** Board Game Development ***

Mr Doyle’s P4/P5 pupils recently explored procedural writing by designing and creating their own board games for pupils in P3, P6 and P7 to enjoy. They worked diligently to develop clear and engaging instructions using Just2Easy, incorporating key elements such as titles, equipment lists, rules for each square, challenge and chance cards, and clear win conditions. They also focused on important writing features, including imperative verbs and time connectives.

Once completed, the games were shared with other classes, who thoroughly enjoyed playing them and provided very positive feedback. This was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to apply their writing skills in a meaningful, real-life context and to celebrate their learning together.
