Heightened awareness in relation to road safety during the winter time was highlighted today as we engaged with ‘Ditch the Dark Day.’ Children came to school in vivid colours to raise awareness of the ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ mantra. 

One such element of understanding came from Mr Doyle’s class. They investigated and predicted which materials stand out best in the dark, testing their ideas against a dark background using a torch. To apply their learning, the children designed brightly visible clothing to ensure safety in low-light conditions.
