      On Monday, Chris from Eureka Seekers visited our school to lead exciting, hands-on science workshops with every class. The students thoroughly enjoyed exploring scientific ideas through fun and engaging experiments.

      We’re pleased to share that Eureka Seekers will now be running an After School Club every Monday in Term 3 (2pm to 4pm). This is a great opportunity for students to continue developing their curiosity and love of science in an interactive setting.

      Mr Doyle’s P4/P5 pupils got creative making beautiful Easter trees! The children collected twigs from outside and decorated them with their own coloured Easter‑themed decorations, including eggs, chicks and bunnies. 

      These lovely Easter trees were made as a centrepiece for their tables at home—such a fantastic way to celebrate the season and show their creativity.

      We would like to sincerely thank grandparent Martina McCormick, who regularly donates beautifully knitted items to the school. On this occasion, Martina kindly donated two handmade Easter bunnies. 

      A random draw was held among all children in the school, with names pulled from a hat. Congratulations to Eimear (P2) and Mathews (P6), who were the lucky winners.

      Our Lenten Bake Sale took place on Friday, and we are delighted to share that a fantastic £523.90 was raised! All proceeds will be donated to Trócaire, supporting their vital work with communities in need.

      A huge thank you to everyone in our school community who kindly donated baked goods—your generosity made the event a tremendous success.

      A special word of appreciation goes to Mrs McCauley’s P6 class, who did a brilliant job manning the stalls throughout the day. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and warm smiles helped make the event enjoyable for everyone.

      *** P7 Cycling Proficiency Begins ***

      Today the full cohort of our P7 pupils began their Cycling Proficiency practical work, and what a brilliant start they made! Under the guidance of Mr McCartan, the boys and girls were delighted to get out on their bikes and begin the first steps of the accreditation programme.

      The pupils showed great enthusiasm and focus as they learned essential cycling skills and safety awareness. This practical training is an important part of helping our children become confident and responsible road users, and we’re very proud of the positive attitude they brought to Day 1.

    • Congratulations Miss Crozier

      We were delighted to welcome Miss Crozier and her twin daughters, Eimhear and Croía, to the school today. Their visit was a wonderful highlight for pupils and staff alike, with many taking the opportunity to say hello and share in the excitement of meeting the girls. It was lovely to see the joy their presence brought to the school community, and we are grateful to Miss Crozier for taking the time to come in. We wish her and the twins continued health and happiness in the months ahead!
