P1 have had great fun learning their first sounds, s and a. They have explored these sounds through a range of play-based activities. The children particularly enjoyed the multisensory approach, using playdough, sorting objects, music, sand, etc.

P2 have been recapping all their initial sounds and working on writing sentences with CVC and CVCC words through play-based activities.

P1/2 have loved exploring our first story, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. The children created their own sensory story map and enjoyed using it to act out the story during playtime.

We have enjoyed developing our fine motor and scissor skills this week!
