*** First Holy Communion 2026 ***

It was a pride filled morning for our P4 pupils as they celebrated their First Holy Communion in the Sacred Heart Church. The beautiful ceremony was led by Canon Fleck and by Deacon James Uhomoibhi.

Our boys and girls were wonderfully prepared and took part so thoughtfully in the Mass through their singing, readings, and prayers — a credit to themselves, their families and their school.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr Doyle for his dedication in preparing the class for this important milestone, and to our classroom assistants Aimee O’Toole, Kathryn Fegan, and Katie-Louise Poland for their continued support and organisation of the day.

We are also very grateful to our school choir, under Mr Doyle’s direction and accompanied by Paul Madden, along with Annette Kelly, for adding such beautiful music to the celebration.

The day continued back at school with a lovely gathering in the hall — thank you to all our staff who helped make it such a welcoming and joyful occasion.

We hope all our P4 pupils have a fantastic day celebrating this special moment with family and friends!
