Easter Egg Hunt
We were very excited to go on our Easter egg hunt. Mr Austin hid them in a very difficult place and Mrs McAteer and Annette gave us clues how to find them. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait until we can eat our eggs!!!!!!
ITS SCIENCE WEEK !!!!!
We went outside at 12o'clock today and in pairs drew around each other's shadows with chalk.
It was lucky that it was a sunny day and that we were able to see our shadows.
After lunch we went outside again and stood in the same spot we had marked earlier.
Guess what happened? Our shadows had moved!!!
Check out our photos of us drawing round our shadows.
In our Literacy we have been learning about OPPOSITES.
In groups we played Opposites Lotto and really enjoyed it. Then we went to the ICT suite and completed an activity on opposites on Education City.
World Book Day
Caring for our Earthly Home Assembly
In advance of Catholic Schools Week, the pupils in Primary 3 & 4 showcased a 'Caring for our Earthly Home Assembly.' They shared factual information on how we can look after the planet, sang songs and prayed. It was a lovely way to introduce Catholic Schools Week to the whole school. Well done Primary 3 & 4!
Each morning the P3/4 children observe the weather and record their observations and predictions. Their observations are recorded on a wall chart using a variety of weather symbols. This week during Art and Craft they also made umbrellas. It involved careful painting, folding, cutting and glueing. Everyone had a lot of fun and produced lovely umbrellas!!
Gary Smyth, Fire Safety Officer visited school to deliver important messages on fire safety. We learned how to be responsible and what to do in the event of an emergency. We really enjoyed hearing his stories and experiences. We are now fully aware of what triggers fire and how dangerous it can be to our safety.
